Old Tree

The second collaboration between TinDragon Media and The High Line NYC (the first was a documentation of the fabrication of Sam Durant’s "Untitled (drone)" sculpture in 2021). The High Line needed to document the design and fabrication of Pamela Rosenkranz’s "Old Tree" sculpture. TinDragon provided the California-based documentation. Over two trips to Nature Maker (the manufacturer who provided fabrication services for the sculpture), we filmed B-Roll of the industrial process. Capturing timelapse, gimbal shots, and details, TinDragon documented the welding, painting, fabrication, galvanizing, sculpting, and final assembly. The footage that TinDragon captured was used in the profile video on the exhibition and for archival purposes.
